Art is a trawlwoolway pakana man from Flinders Island, Tasmania, currently working at the Department of Premier and Cabinet as a Legal Adviser on Treaty. He has previously worked within corporate at Telstra and was seconded to Gilbert + Tobin. Art has also undertaken several roles within the community legal space, working with the Arts Law Centre of Australia, Victoria Legal Aid, and the Tasmanian Aboriginal Legal Service.
Outside of law, he is an avid supporter of the Essendon Football Club and is passionate about music and the arts. Art’s first connection with Tarwirri came during his time as a law student at Melbourne Law School, and his commitment to supporting the Indigenous legal community has grown since then.
He hopes that Tarwirri can continue to grow in its ability to support and strengthen our network of Aboriginal lawyers in Victoria.
